Seven teens in Perry County, Pennsylvania face criminal juvenile charges, as well as school administered punishment, in another teen sexting case.As we previously reported, Pennsylvania District Attorneys have been aggressively getting the word out about the dangers and criminal penalties for sexting.
This report from the Fox 43 Pennsylvania indicates that it is certainly an increasingly common problem and concern for law enforcement. According to the article, the teens are accused of sending photos and video of sex acts via their cell phones during the period from April to September.
The teens in this case are facing juvenile charges of sexual abuse of children for possessing and transmitting child pornography. Though all of the participants are juveniles, child pornography laws still apply.
It is possible for these teens to face sex offender registration as well as criminal penalties by the courts.
